The Tenerensis are a subspecies of the Cavaneu and are members many governments across Cyrannus. Great warriors and battle commanders, they are heavily involved in command roles, such as Sesoka of the Republic Remnant. They are also common citizens in the Empire, and they often have an air of intelligence about them.

The Tenerensis walk on two legs most of the time, but occasionally they crouch on four legs, similar to a crocodile. Their primary diet is fish, and the planet of Carolinii is literally covered with swamps, perfect territory for them. Like Terran crocodilians, Tenerensis is as happy on land as they are in water.

The people of the Tenerensis are strong believers in monarchy, and as such are generally supportive of Emperor Tyrómairon.

History[]

Cavaneu War[]

Cavaneu War

The Cavaneu - Tenerensis War.

When the Tenerensis entered space, gaining the technology to explore the stars they were contacted by the warrior species, the Cavaneu, who unbeknowsnt to either species at the time, were actually subspecies of eachother. However, while diplomatic relations were pursued for the first decade of their contact with each other, relations eventually decreased to a point where full war was declared. The fierce battles between the two species were fierce, though eventually both agreed to end hostilities with an armistice.

Despite the Cold War that would follow, both species would eventually grow to be key allies, to a point where they both inhabited the worlds owned by the other species. Centuries later, the Tenerensis and the Cavaneu were on the way to becoming a great superpower of Cyrannus, helping eachother against mutual enemies.

Republic Era[]

After thousands of years of peace with the Cavaneu, both decided to join the expanding United Republic of Cyrannus, a massive republic expanding from the Core Worlds. At first, the Tenerensis were unsure if they wanted to join the new government, being strong believors in monarchy, but they were eventually won over by the admission of the Cavaneu. While in the Republic, the Tenerensis and the Cavaneu came to learn that they were both members of the Thirteen Tribes of Capricyránae, further strengthing their relationship.

When the Great Cyrannus War began, the Tenerensis were furious with the races that joined the Confederacy. However, they saw little action as a nation during the war, that is to say, until the Basileus attack on their brothers and sisters of the Cavaneu. The Tenerensis fleet under the command of Willelmus Cretacea and Sesoka successfully defeated the enemy fleet and restored order to the Cavaneu homeworld of Neudan.

Imperial Era[]

Battle of Orbispira 06

The united Capricyránae fleet arrives at Corunnia.

Shortly before the War came to an end, most Tenerensis came under the influence of a mysterious ruler, known as Tyrómairon. Using his charm and charisma, Tyrómairon managed to convince the Tenerensis to join with his growing Empire of order and peace. This Empire's fleet made it to the Republic capital of Orbispira, and on its moon declared the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus. However, while most Tenerensis praised this new Empire, one in particular didn't...

Society and Culture[]

The Tenerensis, like many other Capricyránae species place a great deal of their time devoted to high culture, music and foods. They have a strong belief in monarchy which resulted in some initial debate regarding the Tenerensis' inclusion into the United Republic of Cyrannus. However, for the same reason, most found great prosperity in the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus.

Culturally, the Tenerensis place a great deal of energy into honour and battle, much like the Cogsangui, though on a lesser scale. They once believed that they were physically the mightiest creatures in the galaxy, only to come to the realization that this wasn't the case when they made first contact with stronger races like the Mortalitas. Still, a sense of genetic brilliance remains.
