The Primogenitors are a series of robotic being descended from the Kulaung of the First Kulaung Empire, and came about when, in desperation to escape one of their most dangerous foes, took to implanting their minds into powerful war machines and robotic shells to keep their personalities alive, and safe from the enslavement of their foes. With that complete, the Primogenitors went into hiding and cryogenic storage to await the day their power would be needed.

Discovered by the Modern Mendel Pact, the Primogenitors were overjoyed to find their kin still lived, and joined their empire, despite how different it was from the Old Empire, and rather confused by the standing of aliens among their ranks. The Primogenitors would become an integral part of the Pact's military and government, thanks to their incredible power and advanced technology.

History

Creation

The Primogenitors began as the creation of the ancient Kulaung to recreate their greatest warriors and place their personalities, or copies of the personality, within a machine to live forever, so as to offer advice, fight the toughest foes, and be on hand to aid the living. Primogenitors were made from all sorts of the Kulaung's numbers, and while the first few were made of warriors and warlords, next generations in line would deploy techniques to create Primogenitors who were once scientists, artists, architects and others to help future generations understand the past, and, hopefully, learn the best from them, or even about the worst aspects, and take the paths needed to improve on what they did. For this reason, to be chosen by the rulers, and later the Golden Prince, to become a Primogenitor, was considered a deep, tremendous honor that few would deny the chance at taking.

However, as time went on, the Primogenitors, for whatever reason, withdrew into isolation from their organic kin, and remained within their bases of operation, an area of space centered around an area called "The Metallic Crypt". Centered around this sector of space, was a massive research station called Cybrith, a large station where transference of consciousness and intelligence was conducted, as well as research into environmental impacts, food production, and anything else the Primogenitors could assist their organic kin in accomplishing. This would become their home, the Primogenitors spending much of their time inside the station, and in neighboring worlds with small bases, and remaining generally isolated from others.

Rediscovery

After millennia spent in isolation and sleep, the Primogenitors would be rediscovered after the unification of the Modern Mendel after their Civil War. The Mendel would send exploration fleets to other worlds and systems, seeking out new races to contact and trade with, and were surprised to encounter machines that not only looked like the Mendel, but spoke an archaic form of their language, and knew much of their ancient, forgotten history. Kirta Clett, newly christened High Queen, journeyed to their satellite home of Cybrith, and spoke with their leader, the digitized version of Rexsuta the Conqueror, and convinced them to join her Pact, to fight for the future and make the galaxy safer for all.
