Orgaat'Karrgos are the Orgaat who have consumed the flesh of the Karagon, a large and brutish race, found in empires ranging from the destructive Imperium of War to the spiritual-minded Mirusian Theocratic Congregation. In their ancient days, the Karagon were violent and unruly, seeking to conquer the entire galaxy for living space and slaves. To combat this threat, the Mendel fought with many of their allies to contain the foe, the Orgaat partook in the flesh of many defeated Karagon to 'honor' their foes for their strength. This resulted in increased strength and durability, but a lack of agility in the resulting Orgaat.

Often used as frontal shock troops and guards for important sights, Orgaat'Karrgos are great warriors on the field, but perform poorly in many other fields, having developed a tendency to speak openly, even when it would not help, and being a bit more clumsy at ambushing, thanks to their squat, muscled forms.

History[]

Creation[]

The Karagon Rebellions would be amongst the most violent of wars to tear through the Mirus Galaxy in many years, paling only in comparison to the Hermicee wars, and the Great Tyranny War and the Great Mirusian Conflicts. During the crusade of the Black Beast, a group of ambitious Karagon Warlords in Mirus, then part of the Waptoria Alliance of Species, rose up to combat the threat, not shunning the total extermination of the Skordi if needed. As the Waptoria and the Karagon in the Milky Way disavowed of the excessive measures the Warlords took, they rebelled and sided with the Black Beast instead. The Mendel Pact and their allies lead many attacks against the expanding Karagon Warlords, who had violently claimed many worlds for themselves, using their Voracha minions to assist in this. Many Orgaat deployed, either out of loyalty to the Mendel and Waptoria, or because many Orgaat colony worlds had been disturbed by the Karagon, their hunting grounds damaged by Karagon attacks.

Many vicious battles would follow, the Orgaat using their superior agility and stealth to over-come the forces of the Karagon Warlords and devour many of their warriors, eating the flesh and organs of their foes in a "funeral ritual" to "honor" them for their strength. As such, many Orgaat evolved into the Orgaat'Karrgos and inherited the strength and durability of their Karagon forefathers. After the war, the Orgaat'Karrgos returned to Tohoch, bringing their genetic gift with them, and sharing with any of their peers who wished to join them. Eventually, after the death of the Black Beast, the Karagon movement itself would splinter, with those who accepted defeat retreating in isolation of Brotherhood of Spode temple-ships, while mayority, who still thirsted for revenge, joined the Imperium of War, which had allied itself with the Black Beast.

Since then, the Orgaat'Karrgos have maintained an honored position in Orgaat society, their strength and power protecting many Orgaat colonies, and seeing to the defeat many foes. They have also struck up an odd friendship with the Karagon, their former foes, who will allow Orgaat to eat some of their fallen warriors as a sign of respect and reconciliation between the two sides.

Traits[]

Culture/Behavior[]

Orgaat'Karrgos are among the most blunt and stubborn of the Orgaat. They do not waste time with beating around the bush or trying to muddy the waters. If they want something, they will come out and give their demands, and then work with the other side towards it, getting violent if they feels the otherside is being two-faced. While they enjoy the company of all Orgaat, the Togunda especially enjoy the company of Orgaat'Karrgos.

Orgaat'Karrgos are especially competitive, commonly dueling for snacks and left overs when their tasks are completed, arguing over how best to approach a hunt, and even getting into head-butting competitions. Orgaat'Karrgos view arguing as an art, and is similar to debates amongst other races, though, like the Karagon and Mendel, see nothing wrong with Ad honiems being thrown into the argument. With their reinforced crests, Orgaat'Karrgos also enjoy getting into head-butting competitions, as tests of strength and warriorhood amongst their kind.

Religion[]

The Orgaat'Karrgos worship the same ancestral and nature spirits as their comrades in other tribes, as well as the Mendel god, Kadaii Hoorangiir, and the Waptorian God, Tzeen'chak.

Biology[]

Orgaat'Karrgos are covered in a thick layer of scaly, leathery skin that protects from most ballistic weapons and firearms. They are gifted with great muscle and power over the rest of their kindred, but at the cost of agility. Their crest is smaller then other Orgaat, but thicker and more plated, allowing it practical use in combat outside of simple ornamentation and protection, often using it to head-butt foes. Thanks to the hump on their back, Orgaat'Karrgos can go lengthy amounts of time without water, the wrinkles in their skin guiding even the smallest droplets of water to special pores which in turn lead to a special lymphatic system connected to the hump. However, unlike Karagon, Orgaat'Karrgos cannot dry out their bodies to survive in the vacuum of space.

Orgaat'Karrgos, thanks to their Karagon DNA, are as much herbivorous as they are carnivorous, and many of them look down on the term "Orgaat'Karrgos Carnivore", feeling it is not apt when describing them.
