The Maorians are one of the four races that derivated from the Akalians and the toad-folk of the Planet Akalia.

The Maorians have many resemblances with their predecessors, the Akalians, such as their velocirraptor-like appearence, but they have new features that makes them similar to toads and frogs, specially their fin-like hands and feet, as well as actually two fins on their backs, which might slow them down on land but enhance their speed on water.
Their amphibious features have granted them the ability to breath both in air and in water, but due to this, they have grown dependent of it, as their skins are softer and more vulnerable to dehydration than those of other races. And to add more problems, their lack of experience on land has make them the weakest race of all four, so they must rely on numbers to survive outside water. This has also made them develop a cowardly attitude.
