The Ioketa a race of monkey-like beings on planet Koldenwelt who live mostly in the forest areas. A race of wise beings who are masters of the Source, the Ioketa are a tranquil and peaceful race who use their powers mostly for good. Living amongst their tribes, and widely known as the "gurus", the Ioketa are low in numbers, but their magic powers are among the greatest.
A race of monkey-like beings, the Ioketa are small, but very agile, allowing them to easily escape from their prey. Found in the jungles and forests, their physiology is very helpful for climbing trees and running long distances. While their physiology does not make them particularly strong in combat, their powers of the Source make up for it. It is almost said that their physiology makeup contains the Source itself, though this has never been proved.
The Ioketa are peaceful and friendly for the most part, but this is based purely on observation of them, as few have ever actually communicated with the Ioketa, and the few that have, have done so telepathically. The Ioketa language is not one that any can understand, as it is incredibly complicated. No Ioketa has yet learned to speak another language, either. The Ioketa live in tree huts, and various villages in their traditional tribes. They have no interest in any technological progression, though it is said that if they were interested, they would be among the most advanced races on Koldenwelt.
The Ioketa are among the strongest natural Koldenwelt users of magic. It is unknown whether their methods of teaching are simply unrivaled, or if their use of the Source is simply something that comes natural to them, though many Koldenwelt magic scientists believe it is the former. But what is known is that each and every Ioketa is a powerful Mage, who can use magic for domestic uses, for combat, or for healing. It is the desire of many Mages to learn the power of the Ioketa, though the communication with them is so hard, that this is seen as unrealistic.
Ioketa society is very interesting. Their society seems very traditional, and somewhat similar to the Saphronians of the North (the traditional tribal ones). They live their lives in a very traditional sense, and very few Ioketa ever actually leave their villages of forests. They don't, however, claim these parts to be their 'territory', almost letting anyone else move there. The Ioketa stick to their lives and never really expand outwards, other than to find food. It is believed every individual other than the Chief is completely equal in terms of their duties/
The Ioketa's tribal huts can be found in the tallest of trees, buried underground, or sometimes in various villages on the ground. Their habitats are mostly to stay hidden, for reasons unknown (though the general belief is that they wish not to intrude in others' lives). Mostly their build their habitats out of wood.
