The Gardeili are one of the many Multus Esse creations and one of the many that are members of the Unified Alliance of Enlightenment and Mirusian Theocratic Congregation. Strong and loyal, the Gardeili once where servants of a corrupt group called the Prophets of Hun'gora. After their Betrayal, the Gardeili assumed leadership of their empire and the many races within it, and tried to reform themselves.

Close allies of fellow creations, the Ugandalorians, Gardeili place emphasis on family and tradition, like their allies, but are a little more reserve, and not so passionate and aggressive as the Ugandalorians. Both, however, display an ability to adept to new ideals and cultural practices, the Mendel, out of reverence for their god of Evolution, Hoorangiir, and the Gardeili, out of a respect for business and trade. Despite Gardeili having a stereotype as a militant nation of people, are surprisingly more concerned with colonization, spreading out, and creating business and trade.

Creation Edit

The Gardeili began as 1 race, along with their genetic cousins, the Cogenili and Sholtanar, and where created with the hopes of creating a powerful warrior race that would help protect the other creations and races the Multus Esse had guided on the path of knowledge and enlightenment. With their growing empire, the Multus hoped to raise the Gardeili, and many other races, on the large station where they created, Ataro, and use them as soldiers. They held great hope with their creations, as they envisioned the Gardeili as the leaders of the races, being strong in body and mind. However, with the rise of the Alpha Cyber Collective, and their revolt against their creators, the Multus, fearing the Alpha Grox might find Ataro, sent out their creations and seeded them across planets all over the Mirus, where they could not be found by their treasonous brothers. Unfortunately, the Multus, fearing their creations might be found if centered on too many worlds, spread them out on 3 planets. The Gardeili had a fate just like the others, with they be put on the planet Gardeilios, their home, Cogneilios, home of the Cogenili, and Shalosero, home of the Sholtanar race.

While the 3 started out the same, each would evolve differently in each other sectors. One by one, each would evolve new traits. The Gardeili would become the strongest, possessing the greatest power that each race could afford. The Cogenili would become master essence sages, and the Sholtanar would a balance in strength and intelligence.

Rise to Power Edit

The Gardeili where the second to evolve, and rapidly became a space-faring race, crafting massive ships from the technology created by the Multus Esse. They believed this weaponry and ship material left behind as scared, and, at first thought these tools were sacred and gifts from their gods. With this, the Gardeili left the atmosphere of their scared homeworld, establishing their first colonies when they came across another race. The Targarous where the first race the Gardeili ever encountered, and, despite their claims otherwise, very similar to them culturally. While the Targarous where defiantly more barbaric, what would lead to war was the claims of both for a great satellite station, that both claimed was used to create their races. The two warriors went to war, their ships clashing in the void, as the Targarous' brutal and simple weapons clashed with the sophisticated and brilliant tools of the Gardeili.

This war dragged on for many weeks, until finally, a small flotilla of vessels appeared. A group of Missionaries from beyond the Mirus galaxy had come, seeking new races to convert. Their words fell on death ears to the ancient Mendel, whose Clans where considered too stubborn to ever bend their knee to Spode, and hung onto their heathen gods. The Radeon missionaries, however, came preaching of a Divine Lord of All, who would accept all if they would open their hearts. The Gardeili's Feudal Lords, and the Targarous Tribal chieftains where intrigued, and their leaders agreed to meet the Radeon missionaries for many diplomatic meetings. These talks went on for a long time, and while wishing to accept Spode as their leader, the two seemed unwilling to completely let go of their original gods and ideals, these spirits and the like becoming Angels of Spode, and patron of certain aspects of Him. With this acceptance of Spode's word, came a prosperous peace, the two warrior-nations learning to see past their differences and accept their differences only gave them strength.

The two, using technology loaned to them from the Radeons, and spreading out further, found other races willing to hear the divine word. The lowly Utuno, expert merchants and excellent foot-soldiers, once indoctrinated to the faith, would go from cowardly, to downright suicidal in battle. The Kag'tar Pirate Clans, while resistant, ultimately joined, in exchange for weapons and money. Others joined, be it by battle or combat, but, as the Unified Nations of Spode included more and more races, they grew in strength more and more, until they could be considered one of the top powers in Mirus for a time.

Rise of the Unified Nations Edit

As the Gardeili came under the leadership of a influential Clan leader named Odos'Gadem, they soon found one last species of Spode. While weak and frail, their minds where of great power, and held mighty telepathic abilities, which they claimed where gifts from Spode and his messengers. Amazed, the Gardeili agreed to a treaty with them, finally becoming the Unified Nations of Spode and becoming a mighty empire across many sectors.

As the Gardeili expanded with the Nations, they came into contact with their Cogneili brothers, and their own nation, the Brotherhood of Spode, and it's own members, who where eerily similar to the Nations. While seeking more contact, the commander who contacted them, Loda'Gadem, was ordered to report back to the Prophets of Hun'gora, and contact was severed between the 2. After this, the Prophets revealed to the other members the betrayal of a race called the Ugandalorians, and told the others that, while creations of Spode, like themselves, they had betrayed Spode by attempting to destroy the relics left behind by his messengers. The Gardeili at first where shocked that a warrior nation, much like their own, could behave so dishonorably, many began to prepare their families and clans for war against the traitors.

A few weeks later, the Gardeili leader, Odos, was executed for heresy against the Prophets, and his son, Loda, taken in for questioning. Angered that their leader was killed so quickly, and his son questioned before he could mourn, many Gardeili threatened to leave, and join the Ugandalorians against the Prophets. However, Loda calmed them down, insisting they must remain united in Spode's name. Rethinking their position, the Gardeili leaders agreed.

Power-struggle Edit

After 2 years of waiting, the Gardeili made their move, leading a sneak attack on the Ugandalorian planet of Balcora. In what became known as the Balcora massacre, the Gardeili and their forces clashed viciously with the Ugandalorians and their allies from the Walgolorian and Kodalorian, fighting the Spode-forces for many dyas, until finally, their forces retreated, and the planet was nearly glassed, as a monument to Spode's divine righteousness.

As the Gardeili and the Ugandalorians clashed, the 2 found themselves respecting the other side, despite the fact they where at war. Many Prophets warned the Gardeili of dealing with such heretics, though the Gardeili maintained their purity. However, many soon began to find evidence that the Ugandalorians had not been desecrating artifacts of Spode, and in fact, where creations of the Multus Like themselves. While some Ugandalorians, like the ones from planet Kojaros, joined the UNOS, most found their sneak attack dishonorable, though still remained adamant in proving they where not blasphemers to the Gardeili.

After uncovering evidence that Prophets where lying and, in fact, servants of a race of cybernetic enslavers called The Leviathan, the Gardeili began to discreetly move against them, and, after confronting the Targarous, their rivals for the Prophets' attention, and gaining them as allies, the Gardeili, with a truce with the Ugandalorians and their allies, moved against the Prophets and killed them, the leader of the Gardeili, Loda, striking the killing blow against the Prophet leader.

Reformation Edit

After the death of the Prophets, the Gardeili and the Targarous took it upon themselves to rebuild the UNOS into a better empire, and, after many years of hard working to rebuild their nations, the UNOS rejoined the galactic community, forging an even stronger with the Ugandalorains and their allies, and reestaplishing contact with the Brotherhood of Spode and began working to uncover the secrets behind their relations with the BOS. As they repaired the damage done to their state, and their member states, and helping repair the damage done to the other races, the Gardeili and Ugandalorians developed a close relationship, especially when many members of each joined the others state, with Gardeili joining the Ugandalorians in large communities, and the people of Korjaros allowed to stay with the Church.

The Gardeili themselves wanted to eagerly wanted to make up for the sins they had committed in the name of religion, and Gardeili religious leaders sought out priests of both Ugandalorian and Waptorian back-ground to gain a better understanding of their culture, and how they where not overtaken by zealotry, and found the 2 groups had the idea of allowing innovation and new ideas into their religious texts in order to keep up with the times. While not out-right accepting Mendel-Waptoria religious believes, they did accept that innovation and new ideas had to come, or they would be reduced back to their old state.

In order to improve relations, Gardeili, Targarous, and Mendel strike teams often worked together to stamp out potential servants of the Bachyeon Hive-Mind in back-water worlds. The policy seemed to work, as the sides saw the strength of each other, and their respect grew further as a result.

Gardeili are regarded as a rather advanced, adapt race on the outside, noted for their incredible technology and adaptability. However, once one gets to know them, they tend to see the Gardeili in a more mixed regard. One of the biggest flaws is their tendency towards arrogance towards outside races, such as the Mendel when they first encountered them, seeing them as barbarians and savages with a liking for paint. Since the reveal of their masters' betrayal, and their attempts to step away from such ideals, they are becoming noticeably more tolerate, though other races may still find a few that lead to resentment and animosity.

Gardeili notably are expert colonizers, as much of the groundwork of the Greater Mirusian Church's expansion was laid down by the Gardeili. Their traditions and ideals, however, tend to change slightly when they encounter new cultures and races, despite some slight xenophobia. Those living near the Mendel, for example, have taken to their style of dress and warfare. This is commonly seen the Gardeili colony of Messaalia, which lies in a region with many Mendel tribes. The integration between the two lead to something almost wholly different then the two races that spawned it.

While just as faithful as the Radeons, the Gardeili, in contrast to them, are no were near as strict and controlling. Gardeili are noted for their open displays of emotion, passion, and even hedonism. Enjoying the finest wines, getting in spirited debates, and especially enjoying same-sex unions and relationships are common. Even Sarpatia, stereotyped as spartan and regimented, also enjoys these aspects of life.

Gardeili are divided into Houses, akin to Mendel Clans, and various city states, each state and House having their own general system of government in place, and answering to Loda'Gadam out of respect for his skill in battle and politics. Despite their differences, they are known to band together due to shared cultural traits and ideals, and, although they may clash, would never abandon another if they where threatened. Each one is ruled by a Count, called Basielii in their tongue.

One of the dominate states, that roles much of the southern Gardeili holdings, Sarpatia is a thoroughly military State, run by warriors, populated by warriors and strive to be the best warriors among the Mirusians. Deutzalanian are too posh and self-centered, Mendel too drunken and slovenly, and as such, only the Gardeili of Sarpatia can be regarded as true warriors. The respect to their fellow Gardeili is only a step above what could be called hostility, and while not as aggressive towards them as they are to aliens, most other Gardeili can barely stand their kin. It is often said the only thing keeping them from being wiped out is their fearsome reputation as Warriors.

The State of Sarpatia provides nearly 35% of the military force of the Gardeili that fight for the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation, and, as such, they provide a small but extremely effective fighting force to take on the foe. While making entire armies out of Sarpatian Regiments is ill-advised, they are often dispersed amongst the other armies to provide their skills to the "Lesser States", and give them some guidance, a few of their more progressive members sometimes giving their comrades pointers, though even these progressive members look down upon aliens, especially the Utuno and Kag'tar, as only deserving of producing food and as cheap labor, not taking the field with true warriors. They are too cowardly and sniveling in the minds of their Gardeili superiors, and the attitude towards equally militant races, such as the Tarquam and others, is that of cheap canon fodder and good muscle.

For obvious reasons Sarpatia is not well liked, and, despite its military power, foreigners are quite surprised that they do not command the race proper. while the Gardeili are, to outsiders, as much warriors as their Mendel allies or Zarbanian rivals, Gardeili are, in fact, more at home debating politics and trading with other races and establishing colonies then fighting. While they do it extremely well, most see war as something of a failure with regards to diplomacy. Sarpatia takes the opposite stance, viewing war as the only true way one shows devotion to Spode, and gains his favor. Infants who are too weak are caste out, though often taken in by infiltrators from other states, who long ago outlawed the Infanticide, not that Sarpatia would listen to what others tell them. While other Gardeili have long ago allowed women to serve and lead, women are still limited to minor political roles in Sarpatia, though considering how stagnant and conservative Sarpatia is compared to their comrades, this could be considered a landmark moment in their history.

Sarpatia does not welcome aliens like other states. Those aliens, such as the Utuno, Kag'tar and other races that end up in their holdings are basically turned into low class workers, cheap labor, and what amounts to slaves. While revolts lead to Sarpatia almost becoming crippled, their treatment is still horrendous. Other aliens are not made welcome either. Mendel commonly, while easy going the first few weeks, are bound to get drunk and start a fight with the "snotty arse-heads" as they have taken to calling them, and the Waptoria are treated even worse, being seen as decadent and hedonistic. Persan are seen as little better, often called demons and the like.

While strong militarists and commanders, the State is regarded as somewhat backward. While their technology is advanced, it is considered only passable by most Gardeili standards, and most see the state as, while important, backward and barbaric. The Elders who lead it, being men of old military age, hardly see need to change what has worked for centuries.

The State of Sarpatia is run by a Council of Elders, members of the various families who have all served for hundreds of years in the military, and are now in the age of retirement. They run the various holdings with the State and manage taxes, industrial capabilities, religious ceremonies and other such dealings. The heads of Sarpatia are the duel families of House Agria and House Euriyptid, legends states that both of their ancestors fought over the rights to lead the state, but decided to work together after a slave revolt.

The current heads of both Houses are Talis'Agria and Veras'Euriyptid, both called the Star-born Kings, as, both are forward thinking and clear-sighted enough to see certain changes must be made to their State if it is to remain strong, and are willing to break with tradition if they must to help their State achieve lasting greatness, though both are wise enough to also see they must tread carefully with the Council of Elders.

Aathonpia is the Second Dominate State, after its rival Sarpatia, and considered by many the true leader of the Gardeili within the Theocratic Congregation. Where it not for Sarpatia contesting this, this might very well become fact. Aathonpia holds territory in the South Eastern territory of the Congregation, not far from it's rival, and separated only by a few other states, which is considered a mercy, for if both where neighbor to the other, war would almost certainly break out. Aathonpia, unlike its rival, is the center of Gardeili art, culture, knowledge, architecture and other achievements, and is also sometimes welcoming towards other alien powers, so long as they are regarded as worthy of attention. While respected, they are still regarded with much the same ire as their rivals, many seeing Aathonpia has over-reaching, imperialist and wishing to conquer the other states, or turn them into vassals of their power.

While Aathonpia provides a good chunk of the military of the Mirusian Congregation, the main draw it yields is it's fleet production. Thousands of ships owe their existence to the shipyards of Aathonpia. Likewise, while their ground forces are average at best, their mastery of Fleet combat is almost without equal, almost as great as that of Clan Darius of the Mendel. Many from this State are regarded as some of the best admirals within The Mirusian Theocratic Congregation, and look upon fleet combat as something more worthy of their State. Sarpatia is welcome to get their boots in the mud, let Aathonpia use fleets, a battle style that is more cerebral and intellectual then mere ground combat. While more progressive then Sarpatia, they still snub other races at times, sometimes without even knowing it, often using stereotypes rather innocently, not completely knowing how that might effect aliens.

Aathonpia, despite holding Sarpatia in check, is not well liked either. Although a center of progressive ideals, great architecture, amazing artwork and other things that are the pride of Gardeili culture, they are often seen as manipulative, trying to use their political power to gain more influence over the other States and rule the whole of Gardeilios by force. Although they produce great political leaders, Aathonpia is regarded as too arrogant about the greatness of Gardeili culture to be trusted as diplomats, and as such, their presence in foreign courts is rare. Aathonpia not only provides large fleets and seasoned admirals to the Gardeili, but also bring great logistical knowledge and strategic advisement to their comrades.

Aathonpia, while welcoming towards aliens, is seen as too snobbish and arrogant to truly become welcomed into for foreigners. Their great democracy and art, is far too great for any simple alien, and only the best may inhabit their great gleaming cities. While other aliens, such as the Utuno and Kag'yar are welcomed, those deemed barbaric, like the Tarquam and Karogon are not welcomed by the Gardeili in Aathonpia. Mendel are just barely tolerated due to their supposed tribalism, and only tolerated for being allies. Waptoria races are more welcomed, due to their cultured ideals, but still seen as rather hedonistic. They also have a great respect for the Persan, due to their strange science and ideals, but are still kept at arms' length.

Aathonpia is run by a Council of Oligarchs, a mixture of democratically elected leaders of the common class, upper-class leaders often passing their titles from father to son, mother to daughter. Above those Oligarchs, are the Magistrates, the higher ranking leaders who run the State, akin to a Senate, if the Oligarchs are to be seen as a Congress. The Lord chosen is merely meant to break up arguments, focus the councils and veto laws if need by, while most power lies in the senates and councils.

Loda'Gadem comes from this State, and tends to embrace his kin's best qualities, while trying to ignore their more dubious traits. He is regarded as honorable and fair, and the greatest leader the Gardeili have had in centuries. Despite his position being from Aathonpia, the Gardeili of other states do not begrudge him, as his rule has been fair and generous to all.

Pargmol is the center of the one of the outer Gardeili colonies, close to Mendel territory, and established after the defeat of the Prophets of Hun'gora and the reformation of Gardeili society from the corruption they once faced. Pargmol was founded under the support of Loda'Gadem, and its expansion and prosperity is an inspiration to much of the wider States. They control territory far to the East, near the fringes of Mendel territory, in a general lawless region that sways form the orderly ways of the Gardeili of Pargmol and the Mendel, and total chaos. The attacks by the Ruins Hand, and some rogue Mendel Clans, have hardened the people of Pargmol to war, though it is not their strong suit by any means.

Pargmol has a capable military force, its State troops hardy and loyal to the cause, and considered adequate by the rest of the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation to serve. They are not Sarpatians, but they are loyal and hardy, and can fight off any invader to their lands. Against pirates of the Ruins Hand, they perform very well, having learned the hard way how to fight off the fast, lightning raids of the slave-trading rogue Mendel, who once threatened the existence of the Colony of Pargmol before it became a state. They also have dealings with the Mendel, though these diplomatic missions where rather terse, given the resent war between the two, and the cause for distrust on both sides. Many rogue Mendel Clans even choose to raid the people of Pargmol, trying to weaken and devastate the Gardeili's colonization efforts. Despite, Pargmol persisted, and survived to become a State all its own.

Its rise to power comes not from its military, however dutiful and hardy they may be, but its great building and infrastructural capabilities. The ruling Attilid family, was famous for having many engineers within their ranks, and this lead to the construction of many great Temples to Spode, and complex and intricate road and transport systems to assist in the expansion of the city. So expert are they that, whenever a new Temple of Spode is ordained to be constructed, it is Pargmol that supplies its engineers and architects to the project. When the Greater Mirusian Church of Spode was formed, Pargmol's best where hired to renovate the Council chambers for the unification of both governments. Their city planning abilities allow them to quickly expand and provide for their population and keep things moving.

However, as one cannot have their guns and their butter, Pargmol's military forces are smaller, but better equipped then most States of similar size. Sarpatia tends to look down upon them, but Pargmol has no difficulty bringing in Mendel warriors to fight with them, and their state has the honor of being home to not only a number of Clans, but the famous Kojaros Janissaries. While no where near the level of Messaalia, Pargmol enjoys good relations with the Mendel Clans, and are often contacted by other states to conduct diplomatic matters with the Mendel. Other races within Pargmol are treated well, and given as much right as the Gardeili, though many have noted Gardeili and Mendel inhabitants in the State hold a slight edge with civil rights and the like.

Pargmol is regarded as one of the best places to go for an alien. They have close relations with the Mendel, enjoy active diplomatic contacts with the Waptoria, and even welcome their members to philosophical discussions, and even welcome the Persan, while most Gardeili are neutral or apathetic towards the strange aliens, welcoming their strange ideals and attitudes with (slightly) opened arms. While not the most open, compared to Sarpatia and Aathonpia, they are downright xenophilic in comparison.

They are ruled by a Council of Philopes, the closest friends of the Lord who help him run the State, and are chosen by as much their merits as their kinship with the Lord of the State. Trusted absolutely, it is tradition in Pargmol for a traitor Philopes to be publically executed in such a way that invokes the executed one's greatest fears and dreads, and reminds others that, although more progressive, the Lord of the State will not tolerate treachery. It is custom that, no matter how good the past Philopes where, for the Lord's son or daughter to replace them with a new Council, of their own advisors, so as to give the government fresh blood.

The current ruler, is of the Attilid Family, who gained the right to establish the colony in the years following the Mendel Wars, and where made up, not of warriors and theocrats, like many other colonies, but by experienced architects and city-planners. This choice was revolutionary for Loda'Gadem, and marked his efforts to distance himself from the corrupt theocracy that was in need of cleaning up, and the bloody war-generals, who had to be cycled through and many to be put on trail for war crimes. The current Attilid, is Phiaatros'Attilid. Phiaatros rules with a steady, though some say unsure hand. While Pargmol remains successful as a State, many worry his unsureness will cost them dearly in the future.

Established as a trade center after the wars with the rest of Mirus, Messaalia was established by the Verkna family, a House of Gardeili Merchants who sought riches with the other races to further the strength of their people. Their position is remarkably close to the Mendel Clans and the Gardeili Houses, making it difficult to tell where their loyalties truly lie. It is largely thanks to them that the alliance with the Mendel is so strong, and their trade connections reach all across Mirus, from foreign markets like the French and New Republic, to more at home ones, like the Waptoria and Mendel. Although distant from the other Gardeili States, their loyalty to the Congregation is strong, though they have lent their forces for the Mendel as well, their men fighting for both empires when the situation calls upon it, thanks to their hybrid system of government and leadership, and culture in general.

House Verkna arrived in the home system of Messaalia not long after the peace treaties with the Mendel, and where not made welcome at all. Many Chieftains reacted violently, while even the more peaceful ones tried to see them driven away through passive aggressive action. House Verkna and its colonists, however, where stubborn, and made every attempt they could to work with the Mendel and find common ground with them. Though it took time, the Mendel chieftains in the system finally agreed to meet with them, and slowly but surely, they gained a new-found respect for the Gardeili. This came to a head when, during a marriage celebration when a Clan Lord's daughter was choosing a husband for herself, she took the honored goblet, and handed it to one of Vasi'Verkna's sons, creating a marriage between Verkna and the Clan. While his eldest son took command of the House, and State by extension, Verkna's bounds with the native Clans has made their great State very powerful.

After a colony was destroyed by an attack by the Hrungothar, nearly 6,700 refugees fled and arrived in the State, and where accepted into the colonies by House Verkna. Since then, Messaalia has strengthened its position as a Gardeili state, though its loyalties to both the Mendel Clans, and the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation cause some to raise eyebrows at its situation.

Ultimately, House Verkna's State provides for the military with forces that are considered not quite Mendel, but not quite Gardeili, warriors of either race engaging in the practices of both, and, for example, painting their bodies with runic tattoos like the Mendel. This is considered extremely improper, as no Gardeili should ever mark his flesh with paint or stylings. This attitude, however, does not stop their disciplined forces from going to battle with Energy Saber and Claymore in hand, ready to use either blade has the situation demands it. Outside of this, Messaalia is a strong trading center, enjoying the trade with countless races, including outside Mendel Clans, Togunda Holds, Zarbanian Merchants, and French travelers, all welcomed and encouraged by their Gardeili leaders. No race can be turned away, for all races bring something special to Messaalia, be it money, or treasures, or secrets of their own...

As such, their stances towards aliens are always accepting, and this also leads the Merchant-minded Utuno and Kag'tar to have far more influence in the State then in other Gardeili lands, many being part of the Council of 600.

The State is run by the Timoduchii, three elected leaders, one who is always of Hosue Verkna, the others, of any of the other Minor Houses or Mendel Clans within Messaalia. They run the State much like Presidents due, with checks placed on their power, and each running a certain field, House Verkna running the trade that is the life blood of the city, the other running military matters and security within the colonies, and another who handles civil service, infrastructure and diplomacy. Below them is the Council of 600, 600 important senators from the various cities and districts within Messaalia who handle much of the running the State and are the ones who draft and write the laws that will govern the State.

Cikros is one of the Colonies established after the Great War, and the peace treaties signed by Loda'Gadem. The colony was established by Baron Kevii'Kolernii, and he sought to create a great trade center to the far east of Spodeist holdings, away from the western power base of Messaalia and it's Merchant Houses. Cikros was a small State, sparsely populated by other Congregation races, though the Gardeili still hold much power. Cikros is notable for being home to the Angaro, a recently converted race that joined the Mirusian Theocratic Congregation after the Gardeili conquered them, due to Angaro not accepting any outsiders into their lands. Kevii'Kolernii made a peace treaty with the various Angaro Ministers and Overlords, and gave them much of their original land back, and, offered them a chance to convert and find Spode within their hearts. The Angaro's agreement was considered the beginning of Cikros.

When he arrived in the system, Kevii'Kolernii, Baron of the House of Kolernii, was a near-starving patrician who had lost much of his territory and money trying to support the war effort for the Unified Nations of Spode, and was in desperate need of money for his family. With barely any money, but a grand vision and unbridled ambition few could match, Kevii brought his ideas to Loda'Gadem, and was give permission to travel outward, to the far east of their territory, and establish his territories there. As he was a poor baron who had lost much standing, Kevii had only a small number of colonists to call upon to support his ambitions. However, the area was already inhabited by the fierce and stubborn Angaro people. While not warriors, they did not like outsiders, and, as such, denied the Gardeili and other races the right to settle there. Kevii, with little choice, ordered his forces to prepare for war, which his advisors warned against. While they had numbers, they could not afford to get dragged into another war and loss any colonists and manpower that could help.

Kevii moved quickly, disabling the Angaro's primitive fleet, and besieged their homeworld, and, with little choice, the Angaro meet with the Gardeili, agreeing to join them and become members of the UNOS and would support the Cikros colony for many years. With this victory, and a new race added to the UNOS, soon to become the Greater Mirusian Church of Spode, Kevii created a great trade area and mighty outpost for GMSC interests, the colony bringing in Jade and other important minerals from Togunda merchants, spice from the Rokii Guilds, and grain and food goods from Zarbania, once peace was reached. Despite, Maassaalia still outdoes them in terms of trade, something Cikros bitterly notes each year when trade is reviewed in the council chambers, despite their best attempts.

Cikros is ruled by the Basilii Counts descended from Kevii'Kolernii. Unlike other States, Cikros is small enough to where one man can manage it effectively enough without much aid other then some advisors and minor governors. others still have a purpose in the grand scheme of running the colony, but most decisions fall under the administration of Kevii'Kolernii.

Military Edit

States and House raise their own armies and forces to provide for the Church. These forces identify themselves with the colored rank system, like all Church species, though differ in how they mark themselves. Markings and patterns identify what House and State one belongs to, and their place within it. Warriors from Sarpata prefer jagged, bloody red markings, and coloring their right gauntlet red. Messaalia prefer to pain parts of their armor either blue or purple, and further paint parts of their forms with the same special woad paint used by Mendel Warriors.

Gardeili are not warriors like many think. While Messaalia and Sarpata have strong military traditions, most serve because they must, are trying to provide for their families. As such, these soldiers, one would think, would not be that effective compared to the blood-thirsty Mendel or the like. However, their training regimens, and ideals commonly cause them to develop a very "patriotic" nature that puts them on equal standing with the Mendel, as far as hot-bloodedness and loyalty goes.

Gardeili provide in war what they so wish. Some act as tank and artillery drivers, some as basic field forces, others as a phalanx of heavy fire power, and many as officers guiding lesser races into battle. The main strategy, with infantry squadrons, is commonly to have each squad support the other, and each send out wave after wave of plasma and projectile attacks, to slowly whittle down their foes and not give them a chance to attack back.

Religion Edit

Gardeili follow the ideals of Spode, or in their tongue, Za'korius, but unlike others, believe in a pantheon of deities below Spode, believed by some to be their interpretation of the Eola'nar. While attempts have been largely successful, the Gardeili are still regarded as closed-minded towards outside religions and largely unaccepting, with the exception of some Clan holdings, the most notable ones even accepting Mendel religious ideals.

Despite this religious-mindedness, Gardeili are still noted for their strength as philosophers and thinkers, combining their faith with that of the ideals of Reason and logic, questioning their place in the great universe and what role their faith has to making the universe better. Many Gardeili actually forgo all religious devotion entirely to follow only their logic and reasoning, though are not considered out-right heretics, due to the close structure of Spode and Philosophy within their government and culture.

Biology Edit

Gardeili are tall race, taller then most other races in Mirus, with the exception of some of the more gigantic ones, such as the Skordi, Skallin, Dragowar or Dominatus, for example. Combined with their powerful musculature, and they can easily crush most other races in hand-to-hand combat, as well as match Ugandalorians muscle-for-muscle. They are people of slighter build, however, being very agile as well as strong. Gardeili are warm-blooded, reptilian creatures, and their most notable trait, are a pair of insectoid mandibles in their jaws, that they can, throw muscle contractions, force out of their mouth in order to help slice into tough meals. Most of the time, the Mandibles remain hidden, just behind the tongue, and will not become active unless a Gardeili wills it. Gardeili will often show their inter-mandibles to scare and intimidate rivals. Another notable trait is the twin crest like objects upon their heads, which grow larger, thicker and fuller as they grow older. These crests change color depending on mood, though Gardeili, after reaching puberty, can learn to control this.
