The Arachnoid Empire is a space-faring civilization of humanoid arachnids, hailing from their homeworld, Araneae in the Terrae System of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way (known to the Arachnoid as Galaxis Prime). As they are a sentient race of a technologically advanced world and of clear and intelligent minds, they wish to map this galaxy and all other surrounding galaxies.
Arachnoids are generally taller and of slighter build than humans. They have both an exoskeleton and an endoskeleton, fangs to eat meat, and two eyes with eyelids and tear ducts. Arachnoids also have 5 fingers on both hands which includes a thumb and an index finger. Their legs are similar to all spider legs on Earth; they walk on them with no 'feet'. They are octopedal decapods, as they walk on eight legs and use two as arms. Regardless, they are still seen to fit in the Taxonomy of Arachnida, rather than Arachnoida. Their legs are strong and can withdure a substantial amount of weight. But due to an increase in their size and weight, Arachnoids lost the sticky fibres on their legs, meaning that they cannot climb up walls or walk on ceilings as their ancestors could.
Within the vast subsystems of Arachnoid biology, the most amazing is their DNA structure. Unlike any living alien species known, the Arachnoid have a quad-strand DNA structure. Another interesting topic of Arachnoid biology is the Arachnoid digestive system. In their digestive system, they have 2 stomachs and 3 super-organs. The first super-organ in the digestive track is the Aminocreleen. This super-organ completes all the tasks that a liver, pancreas, kidney and gallbladder would. The second super-organ is the Bio-dunatrium, a small pocket full of small bio-tentacles that attack and kill any harmful microbes that had survived the contact with stomach acid. The last one is the Proteothora-Ampula, a medium-sized pouch that stores silk. Then it needs to be released, the pouch opens and silk can be threaded out of the Arachnoid for use in making organic sleeping hives or manufacture of a larvae tower.
Arachnoid civilization is based on 'all are equal'. They all get their say through speaking at the yearly meeting with the Arachnoid Council. The Empire is ruled by the Empress of Araneae. She selects the leaders of Science, Military, Economy, Religion, Diplomacy and Order.
The Arachnoids are polytheistic. The main Arachnoid religion is Rachnior, when they believe that the Gods and Goddesses weaved the Web of Time and the Silk of Space. They expanded the Web of Time and the Silk of Space to form the Universe. Then, the Gods forged primitive Arachnoids and allowed them to evolve. The Gods gave the Arachnoid race the choice of how they progressed.
When the first Arachnoid civilization was formed, a stone engraved with ancient text was found in an ancient underground temple near Coppe. They told them that the Gods were here to enforce the laws of science and order and to protect the Web of Time and the Silk of Space from damage. Then, it told them that the Goddesses were the tailors of the universe; the weavers who sew the story of fate and destiny into the universe and into every single Arachnoid born.

Abilities The Arachnoid depend on pulse and element zero technology to power their ship engines and gun fire cup-links. The array of technology available makes the Arachnoid Empire dangerous. Their most dangerous weapon is the Planet De-constructor. This WMD is housed on the Arachnoid Shadow-Dreadnought, A.I.C. Death Star.
Language The Arachnoid species generally speak an alien Common, very comparable to Earth English. However, several culturally adept words are used in place of human phrases, such as 'Arachne Primus', which is generally used as a greeting. In their religion, Rachnior, the god language of Reseauslik is used. This language is the main linguistical medium where many phrases on Common have spawned from.
