Ankura is the primary language spoken by the Ankoran, though it is also spoken by select members of other species. It is considered one of the more difficult languages in the Exteroris Segmentum of Andromeda to master, due in part to its complex grammar system and strict phonotactic rules. It is an agglutinative language, using sets of affixes and suffixes to create more meaning within individual words, though not to the extent of fitting an entire analytic sentence in a single word.
The Ankoran alphabet contains twenty letters, comprised of six vowels and fourteen consonants.

Lexicon[]
The Ankoran Lexicon is noted for it's highly pedantic nature, and like some other Andromedan languages, each word only possesses one or two concrete meanings, with subtle differences in words and tone indicating the distinction.

Writing System[]
The Ankoran language's writing is built upon a segmental writing system in which consonant–vowel sequences are written as a unit: each unit is based on a consonant letter, and vowel notation is secondary. The symbols used cannot be split into the separate consonants and vowels used in verbal communication, but combined to represent the spoken language.
Ankura is read from right to left.
