Policies are basically "rules" for how SporeWiki should be run and are marked by the {{policy}} template. They include reasons for why that policy is in place and the benefits of the policy. They are also all open to furthur discussion and questions on their talk pages. "Policies" are different from "guidelines" in that guidelines are more like suggestions then rules.
