Guidelines are basically "suggestions" for how SporeWiki should be used and are marked by the {{guideline}} template. They include reasons for why that guideline is in place and the benefits of following it. They are also all open to furthur discussion and questions on their talk pages. "Guidelines" are different from "policies" in that policies are more like rules then suggestions.
