Siron Tarkolis is a Libertus male holding the title of Grand Mandator of the Imperial Mid Rim. A native of Coraaxas, the vaunted defender of the Rim, Tarkolis rose through the ranks of the Coraaxan defence fleet, before moving onto the political arena, becoming the Senator of the Coraaxas Sector in the Republic Senate. Upon the formation of the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus in 01 NE, Tarkolis distinguished himself as one of Emperor Tyrómairon's most loyal supporters, ultimately becoming the first Mandator of Coraaxas. Presiding over a renewal of Coraaxan military power within the Imperial Navy, Tarkolis became infamous among pirate and Syndicate elements encroaching on the Mid Rim from the bordering Kuuraen Sector, and was july appointed to the rank of Grand Mandator of the Mid Rim after defeating the Pirate Queen Pacaba at the Battle of Echydia in 13 NE.
A fanatical believer in Imperial Order and Peace, Tarkolis has little sympathy for the New Cyrannian Republic, considering them to be little better than the Cyrandia Resistance, and views the Republic's extragalactic allies with similar disdain. In the vein of Grand Mandator Deoclet Caesarius, Tarkolis is uninterested in the politics of the Empire, and prefers to command the fleets of the Mid Rim from his Star Dreadnought Ravager. Indeed, while ambitious, Tarkolis is uninterested in lofty titles, simply seeking internal, and perhaps hidden, power within the Empire itself, with the influence to shape the development of the Imperial Order for future generations.
Biography[]
Siron Tarkolis was born on Coraaxas in the Mid Rim of Cyrannus, a planet known for its valiant defenders and fierce warriors. From an early age, he exhibited a strong sense of duty and patriotism, which would shape his future. He joined the Coraaxan defense fleet and quickly distinguished himself as a capable and dedicated officer, later transferring his loyalty to the Imperial Navy upon the formation of the Empire in 01 NE. Tarkolis's loyalty and his role in securing the support of Coraaxas for the Empire earned him the title of the Mandator of Coraaxas Sector. As a Mandator, he wielded significant authority and oversaw the governance of entire sector, consolidating Imperial control and influence in the region and ushering in the rebirth of Coraaxas as a military powerhouse within Imperial space.
Despite his role as a Mandator, Tarkolis also made a name for himself by personally commanding fleets against pirate incursions in the Mid Rim. His most celebrated victory was the Battle of Echydia in 13 NE, during which he confronted and defeated the formidable Pirate Queen Pacaba, who had been a constant threat to Imperial interests in the region. Tarkolis's victory effectively neutralised the pirate threat and solidified his reputation as a capable military leader. In the weeks following the battle, and the 'retirement' of Grand Mandator Aporyan, Tarkolis was appointed to the rank of the Mid Rim's Grand Mandator.
Following the defeat of Tyrómairon during the Great Battle of Orbispira in 20 NE, the Empire fractured into a variety of warring remnant factions. As the Grand Mandator of the Mid Rim, Tarkolis controversially withdrew his fleets from the borders of the Inner Rim and instead deployed them in a protective ring around Coraaxas, hoping to remain aloof from the growing turmoil in the Imperial remnants following the Liberation of the Core Worlds and the Inner Rim.
By the conclusion of the war in 26 NE, Tarkolis was the highest ranked Imperial official who had not been killed, captured or withdrew to the Unknown Regions. Faced with utter defeat, he travelled to Orbispira and signed the Imperial Instruments of Surrender, officially ending the Second Great Cyrannus War.

Unwavering in his loyalty and devotion to the Galactic Empire of Cyrannus, Tarkolis is known for his exceptional military prowess and strategic acumen. His ability to plan and execute numerous successful military campaigns both before and during the Second Great Cyrannus War earned him a reputation as a formidable military leader, respected by both friends and opponents alike. However, he is also defined by his pragmatism. Although many Imperial warlords detested the very idea of surrender to the New Republic, Tarkolis recognised that by failing to do so, the Empire would be utterly defeated and relegated to the history books of the galaxy. To Tarkolis, surrender was a small price to pay for the continuation of the Imperial dream of order and peace.
