Kalia Suuk is an Ankoran Ghost, serving as Kavaat Sus's personal special operative. Kalia Suuk is a veteran agent of the Ankoran Empire's Ghost Program, having served during several conflicts, she is a highly skilled marksman, though jovial in attitude. She possesses a personality that often comes across as dismissive to others. She is also famed in the Andromeda Galaxy for her enchanting charm, amorous tendencies, and hedonistic behaviour.

She is Ferie Raymph's squadmate.

History

Early Life

Born into an impoverished family, within one of Lusara's major cities, Kalia spent her childhood living in the slums. Begging for scraps from the moment she could talk, and largely uneducated, the young Ankoran girl's mother passed aways shortly after her birth, leaving her with only an abusive, drunken father figure in her life. Her only form of solace during this period of her life was her inherent connection to Essence, which, minute as it was at the time, allowed her to feel a modicum of control over her life, when most of what she experienced otherwise was unpredictable and out of her control.

Things would change around the age of twelve, during a gang fight between local thugs. Her father, drunken and angry, forced her to fight against both sides to protect him, though in a fit of defiance, Kalia lashed out at him in return, finally returning all the harsh brutality he had subjected her to in his drunken rampages. In what felt like an eternity, though it was but an instant, Kalia's latent abilties flared to life, wreaking havoc up and down the street, leaving all but herself comatose as a result of her outburst. When she was recovered by paramedics and government officials, word quickly reached the Ghost program, which took her into their custody, and recruited her for the Ghost program shortly after she fully recovered.

Taken to the Ghost Training Station A492 in orbit of Tahken, Kalia began her Ghost training at an early age. Despite her considerable psychic power -though the school of Essence she wielded was still indeterminate- she started at a disadvantage compared to many other students due to the ill-effects of months of abuse and malnutrition her father had inflicted on her.

She was placed in the lead of the Omega Team during training with Ferie Rayphm and Tukotin Atalata. The trio of trainees soon became close friends, though she was the focus of resentment, jealousy and sexual desire from many of her fellow trainees.

Soon the stress of missions began to take their toll on Kalia, and many of the other would-be Ghosts - failure after failure in the training scenarios left her frustrated and upset. Turning to Tukotin for support, her squadmate suggested their 'relieve the tension' through sexual methods, directly leading to Kalia's transition from a chaste to a nymphomaniac.

Though she barely survived the physical training regimes in place, she soon became the focus of resentment, jealousy and sexual desire from many of her fellow trainees as her training progressed, moving from one of the worst performing trainees to the top of every class.

Tukotin Atalata became one of her closest friends during her training.

Appearance

Kalia stands distinctly taller than the average Ankoran, measuring almost a head higher than her kin. Her body is stout with muscle from the years of physical conditioning that prepared her as a Ghost. Her scales are a deep shade of navy blue that have that share a uniform shade across her body.

As an Ankoran Ghost, Kalia operates in the field wearing a bone-white bodysuit, a Ghost-standard issue Hostile Environment Suit that covers her from head to toe. Over this white bodysuit are a series of cobalt blue plasteel plates that provide additional protection. On her right gauntlet are a pair of vibro-claws sharp enough to tear though steel and shielding with ferocious ease.

Kalia's primary weapon is a personalised BOSUM FN92 that she is rarely seen without. Decorated with silver and ebony painted plasteel, small sketches of obscene and phallic imagery cover its surface, each bearing a concerning level of detail and biological accuracy.

Personality

Most of the time, those who see Kalia see nothing at all wrong with her - she is an attractive and athletic woman honed to the pinnacle of performance. But the more perceptive observe that her facade is more brittle and artificial than natural - upon closer inspection, they remark on her dead eyes and her almost machine like gait. It is hard for them to reconcile a face that besides the eyes whispers of sweetness and idealism with a body built up as the pinnacle of the Ankoran with an almost zombie-like behaviour. In truth, Kalia was not always like this - shambling was once skipping and her empty rictus was once a smile that would warm even the coldest heart. But Ghost training was named Ghost training for a reason - one was to sacrifice their life, and if judged worthy, would emerge a Ghost - ethereal, nigh-invincible, but dead inside.

To volunteer for Ghost selection is to sacrifice one’s entire being for the Ankoran Empire. But even the dead carry memories of their life, perverted by trauma and loss, into the afterlife. For Kalia, her previous purity was warped into a now legendary nymphomania that serves as her only true escape from the phantom world she now inhabits. When she is with someone, she is alive, and given the choice between shambling through the molasses of the intermissions between missions and euphoria, she would be a fool to not pick the latter. While such behavior alienates her from the more religious and conservative Ankoran, for her, sex is her only anchor to the world of the living.

Beyond this, Kalia conducts herself with the professionalism of a Ghost - she is highly empathetic, charismatic, and kind to those she interacts with. Often one to stand on the sidelines and observe until called into duty, Kalia prefers to remain unseen, and without attention - a trait that, like many other Ghosts, was indoctrinated into her personality during her lengthy training.

Serving on the Empyrean Dawn, Kalia naturally has a close relationship with her commander, Kavaat. Though their is some strain due to personality clashes, the two manage to keep a professional attitude with one another, though often argue about how the other spends their time off-duty.
