He began as any other. A mere child who knew little of the world around him. Yet this child managed to shape a future for himself, and for the entire universe. He saved lives, he saved worlds, he saved galaxies, all out of altruism. I have had many students through the eons, and I can safely say, Hachiman is one of the most successful... and the one I am most proud of.

- Thea'Nhirara

Hachiman Shinha, otherwise referred to as the Dreamwalker and known by names such as Ahlariomákaarioh and Hachái, alongside many other names and titles, is a lagomorphic rianth of human descent and is a widely-recognized, godlike entity with a powerful affiliation for Dream energy who observes and protects the First Gigaquadrant, routing out and destroying evil as well as assisting those that require aid. An eccentric being that radiates with optimism and joy, Hachiman is an archaic warrior who has fought and endured ordeals for a great deal of millennia, seeking to guard the welfare of the entire universe and beyond - he has accepted the responsibility that came with his destiny and in doing so has awakened a great deal of inner power and strength which has only amplified throughout the eons since his ascension.

A joyous and entirely benevolent being, Hachiman is revered not just for his strength but also his selfless attitude and his altruistic philosophy, although he is not a flawless creature himself; promiscuity has plagued his mindset ever since his childhood and has only increased in its significance with the attainment and growth of his abilities, although his energetic and confident stride have also been retained and have in turn influenced many others to aspire towards Hachiman's position and fame. While an incredibly potent destroyer of evil, Hachiman is not without mercy and has allowed the gift of chance towards many of his enemies, some of which having accepted his offer, and when dealing death is always swift and painless to all but the most vile of creatures. A god amongst mortals yet maintaining a firm, steady touch with the rest of the universe around him, Hachiman is the, often unwitting, inspiration behind many other minds and cultures, with many depicting him as a god of fertility, warriors, and prosperity, while others picture him as a benevolent deific trickster.

History[]

The details concerning the early years of Hachiman's life have been largely forgotten or lost by those aside from himself and those close to him, although it is known that he was born within the outskirt colonies of the Yamato Intersolar Commune in 2777 and had an early encounter with a vile servant of one of the gods of the Corruptus - the servant known as Mordathai, who in turn served the entity Shu'wokerama. After being rescued by a being of Dream energy, Thea'Nhirara, Hachiman was informed that a great journey and destiny resided ahead of him, having been chosen by the hand of the God of Dreams, Sonhadromerith, to fulfill a great and significant prophecy. Spending several years of his childhood training with Thea'Nhirara, who became both a teacher and a surrogate mother to the young Hachiman, he became acquainted with the usage of Dream energy and learned much about its potency and capacity for strength, as well as its efficiency in ridding of evil, particularly beings of Nightmare energy.

Hachiman, prior to his ascension, was known to have participated within various significant and semi-major conflicts across the expanse of the First Gigaquadrant; the Second Borealis Galactic War, in which he felled the demonic entity Emperor Marigrax, saved a Vida'Rranlora database from compromisation from the clutches of Regnatus, contributed in the death of a variant of General Volim, and had a hand in saving the universe from Zargoth, and the Third Xhodocto War, when he destroyed three megastructures under the control of the Dominion of the Xhodocto, absorbed the essence of another "destined" being - Macin Xermilin - and escaped Chaos, saved the Realm of Dreams from the corruption of Shu'ytrogarva and reawakened Sonhadromerith, explored the realm of Insomnia and both became acquainted with and fought Santorakh, and managed to spare a Chaos Monster known as Foshi from the control of the minions of the Xhodocto Angazhar. Throughout the years prior to his ascension to a godlike state, he was tutored and mentored under various individuals, most notably Thea'Nhirara, an Isio'Nar by the name of Sarec, and the Kicath demigod Kithworto.

Sometime after the Third Xhodocto War, Hachiman would go on to tour the Andromeda Galaxy and eventually destroy the Zazane demigod Kol Daren after a rigorous effort against his forces and loyalists, including Hachiman's own malformed, corrupted clone Sanguine, whom was later convinced to abandon his creator. After destroying Kol, Hachiman would be granted full access to his powers over Dream energy and would achieve a state of ascension, allowing him an almost infinite capacity for strength and power and officially handing him control and responsibility over his own destiny now that he had attained it in the eyes of the God of Dreams - Hachiman would quickly make use of his powers to aid those damaged and stricken by the chaos of Andromeda, pursuing personal interests within the Draconid Imperium and the Divinarium before eventually finding his own path to the Milky Way Galaxy and dealing with various incursions lauinched by the Corruptus and their Dominion allies in the aftermath of the Third Xhodocto War.

During a particularly large and overwhelming Corruptus incursion, Hachiman would come to meet Gardin - the surrogate daughter of Penumbran Vekaron, who fought alongside Hachi during the Second Borealis Galactic War - and would spawn a fond friendship that would eventually grow into true affection for one another, despite Hachiman's perverse nature in his youth. At unspecific dates during these series of incursions, Mordathai and an ancient, fallen Dream energy warrior, Cairaovén, would fall to Hachiman's hand, although this would only be the start of a prolonged, gradual conflict with Shu'wokerama which would last into 600,000 AD and beyond. Hachiman and Gardin would spawn a number of offspring which would go on to produce more of their own, thus creating a line of Rovegar with the potential for Dream energy and promote the continued existence of the Rovegar species. At approximately 50,000 AD, Hachiman would make a prolonged return to the Borealis Galaxy and visit the Republic of Olimarius, where he was subject to praise, reverence, and worship from the Mikmik political body and saw exactly how far the primitives had come since his first visit to their homeworld, Macronormus, in the 2790s.

By 600,000 AD, Hachiman witnessed the passing of many of his friends and allies, including his beloved Gardin, who passed in 5,500 AD, and several of their descendants, although he continues to wander and travel the Gigaquadrant and both observe and protect the many civilizations and cultures that reside within it, even being revered as a "god" by many, encompassing various differing aspects such as fertility and prosperity. Hachiman would spend several centuries or so within the Theian Technocracy's borders, teaching the Theian race of the benefits and advantages of Essence as well as the variety of uses, and would also come to encounter a Mali'Nar equivalent of his former-mentor Sarec, a native of an alternate, neighbouring universe, between the years of 100,000 AD and 600,000 AD. Currently Hachiman patiently awaits the next coming of Shu'rimrodir and his infinite number of servants and demonic legions, as well as seeking to stall the forces of the Xhodocto and assisting in the growth of many new, young societies.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

Hachiman appears as a matured, leporid rianth with lightish blue-grey fur and a largely humanoid physiology, with four appropriate limbs and a head that rests upon a humanlike torso, although his legs are subsequently digitigrade. Unlike the incarnation of himself prior to his ascension as a godlike entity, Hachiman is absent of cybernetics and other augmentations to his body, having managed to repair the otherwise permanent damage done to his body throughout his life and have himself appear perfectly unscathed. Hachiman is lop-eared and retains a large gathering of fur and fluff upon his upper torso which has only grown in its thickness and size since his childhood, while his facial features are notably handsome and mature, with a tidy beard that extends to his chest. While his anatomy is largely effeminate by the standards of humans and even his own kind, with a notable emphasis on his curvature and stature, he is rather athletically-built and toned and his hair is kept much like it was when he was younger - long and tidy with a hint of curly wildness and fashionable style. Hachiman retains his green-blue eyes, which appear to glimmer with gold when observed closely.

His clothing and sense of style has remained largely constant despite the passing of 600,000 years; he keeps his upper body exposed for the most part aside from an expensive and rather comfortable jacket of rather exquisite material fitted to his size and a pair of trousers that are questionably revealing of his legs, with a series of straps and belts wrapped tightly around his flesh to provide a stylish, expressive and perhaps flamboyant aesthetic. Hachiman wears a belt that is often observed holding a variety of gadgets and other trinkets, although it is never seen with Hachiman's iconic katana-variant vibroblade, Shingen, which has been upgraded, updated and enhanced with Essence throughout the eons to a point that it can easily match and outdo many analogues and versions of blades present in 600,000 AD. Notably, Hachiman's clothes and appearance can change at a whim due to his godlike capabilities and will often use them to change size, emphasize certain features of his, remove or add his clothing at convenient times, and other, more questionable activities.

Personality[]

Hachiman is a wisened and mature individual that retains an energetic and carefree spirit despite his age, sharing the same pursuit for entertainment with his younger self although he possesses a much greater sense of responsibility and awareness for the consequences of his actions. Hachiman has learned much from the experiences he has been exposed to and maintains a clear code of morals and justice that he abides by which are dictated by his personal philosophies and the emotions of his heart, and will rarely allow cultural and political restrictions to stand in the way of doing right. Selfless and benevolent, yet still largely promiscuous to an extent even after eons of personal growth, he continues to strive to grant aid towards those that require it, while he handles the secondary duty of preventing and combating 'evil' wherever it happens to arise, although he is not without the value of mercy and will most often than not allow his opposition a second attempt to right their wrongdoings and kills only when there is no other option to resolve a crisis, much to his displeasure.

Much like his younger incarnation, Hachiman's libido is allowed to roam wildly throughout his mindset and acts upon it at a whim, although compared to his days as a youth he is much more controlled and far more versed in communication and interaction with the opposite sex, usually leading to him being rather perverse and teasing others via flirting. Hachiman recognizes beauty in almost all things - even the most alien of subjects - and while he is much more of a versatile romantic than he was in his childhood, he is nonetheless lewd at times when he allows his polite manner to slip intentionally. Hachiman fights for the sake of others rather than himself and provides charity wherever he feels is necessary, placing his needs, of which he has few, beneath those requiring assistance although his brashness and affiliation with violence has been significantly supressed, preferring to find solutions through communication. When he fights, he fights with an infinite amount of confidence and energy, although he enjoys savouring combat and will "play" with many of his foes before allowing himself to defeat them.

Abilities[]

Hachiman has always been maneuverable and swift as a result of his leporid heritage, making use of his agility and dexterity to best others in melee combat although his ascension has allowed him an infinite increase to these abilities, allowing him to become faster and stronger than he had ever been prior. Prior to his ascension he would make use of cybernetic augmentations to assist his natural capabilities, although he has since lost the need for them and has subsequently abandoned his cybernetics as they are obsolete by comparison to his 'godhood'. His strength and durability allows him to be an unrivalled swordsmaster and one of the most potent warriors within the Gigaquadrant, capable of empowering his blade, the technologically and 'magically' enhanced vibrokatana Shingen, with Dream energy to make his blows and maneuvers far more outstanding, although he has little need to block and counter when he is capable of movements that are too swift for the mortal mind to comprehend.

As a result of his ascension, Hachiman maintains complete control over Dream energy and thus can use its abilities to the furthest extent possible, alongside various other Essence-affiliated capabilities such as telepathy and teleportation due to his mastery over Elemental energy alongside. Hachiman has little need for ranged weaponry due to being capable of complex telekinesis and generating concentrated blasts of Dream energy which have been known to devastate colossal amounts of demons and other malignant enemies in a single bout. Hachiman keeps his Radiant State largely supressed although he retains his 'Aura of Radiance', which keeps him and others safe from the presence of all but the most powerful of demons and only uses his secondary form when combating similar godlike entities. Due to his close connection with Dream energy, he can influence the dreams of others and cause hallucinations as well as alter his form in any matter that he pleases, leading him to retain a mature and adult appearance and instantly regenerating any damage his body sustains painlessly. Hachiman is also capable of granting others ascension although none will ever reach his condition of power as per the fundamental laws of Dream energy.

Quotes[]

Destiny achieved.

- Sonhadromerith

I've had thousands, no. Millions of students through the eons. But you are most certainly the one I am the most proud of all... my son.

- Thea'Nhirara

Your power grows, but in the end, we are still superior. This universe is ours to feed from, and you will never defeat us, mortal.

- Shu'wokerama

When you first moved into the Aracadium, we were both students; barely grasping what had been bestowed upon us and what awaited us, both eager to make a mark one day. And we did, I'm proud of you Hachi. You were both a warming companion, one of my first charges as a tutor the Isio'Nar. And more personally...the closest thing I ever had to a son.

- Sarec

It is said that he who masters how to understand the reality beyond their eyes has mastery over that which constructs it. You hold an impressive power, and so far you are mindful of it. Keep that up.

- Uriel Ultanos

There are those in this world - and beyond, I am sure of that - that have come to... revere you, as a deity of a sort. And while they are, of course, mistaken, you have more than earned the right to recieve such adulation. An eternal hero... destined to rise like a blossom.

- Iovera

There are things in this world which are open only to our kind. And many still that you still have to open, and still some that I have to open. I am yet to find that last door before the unknowable constant. One day I will, and perhaps you shall do too.

- Kithworto

You believe that we can be stalled. You pretend to know me. This is folly. A lie.

- Angazhar

Let's face it. I can still throw you over a forest.

- Santorakh
