Early life[]
Edoshai was born in 1828 as the son of the Shellious Empress Canthani and Halis Thamono, both members of Clan Thamono. At the age of 6, he began his education at the Noble's Academy of Ata Heleheed, along with his twin sister Messan.
The Ministry Crisis of 1850[]
Edoshai started his political career at the age of 28. in 1856, he became the Adviser Councillor of the Thamono Union. While he held little political power, his status as a member of the royal family gave the union an advantage through multiple parliamentary sessions and elections.
Emperor of Shellis[]
Emperor Halis died in the winter of 1876. While, the royal electors were ready to crown the next ruler of the Imperium, Messan was elected into a position in the Parliament and abstained from the crown succession. Edoshai was officially crowned Emperor of Shellis by default on July 16, two months after his father's funeral.
Early rule[]
Most emperors were crowned well after 100 years, but Edoshai was only 48. He was inexperienced and made little major national decisions for the first decade. The first few years were a stressful time. In 1877, his duties as sovereign made him resign from his position in the Thamono Union, though he would rejoin by the time next Prime Minister was elected in 1913.

War in East Africa[]
Tired of assisting in it's allies' conflicts, the Parliament of Shellis had managed to vote against entering any wars since the Treaty of New Corovai. In 2796, the Shellious' allies in the United Nations had entered a war which grew complications for the Imperium. On Earth and the territories of the East African Alliance went to war with each other supported on one side by the French Republic, and on the other with the Imperial Ottoman Directorate.
With embassies in both Europe and Asia in danger, Emperor Edoshai and Prime Minister Estur Bruni were forced to act on opposing views. While Edoshai supported the Islamic forces, House Bruni supported the French and feared the spread of the Ottoman's authoritarian ideology in the rest of the sector. No nation within the Milky Way would intervene. Estur Bruni suspected that the Imperium would receive the wrath of the Draconis if they got involved, and the Ottomans would lose without outside assistance. Two days after the first war session, she proposed the Demilitarization Act of 96. The act moved forward House Thamono's earlier goal of moving military supplies back into the reconstruction of the Capital Territories. The Shellis Parliament voted later that day, and the act was passed to the Royal Council. More of Edoshai's Councillors were appointed from his royal house, and with a popular vote from the Thamono Union members, the Shellious forces remained in the capital.
The 29th Century Crisis[]
In 2800, an attack on Station Halcyon stunned the Gigaquadrant. With the Parliament's decisions in East Africa preventing civilian military, Edoshai once again required the protection of the Draconis Navy. The Paragon and the Draconis were not ready for a full scale war in Cyrannus. With no extra-militia to prevent more terrorist attacks, Edoshai activated emergency powers to the monarchy and re-mobilized the android war factories and voiced the Shellious Imperium's intent to once again be an independent state. Public statements of the Universal Discussion Channel made the Draconis quickly aware of Edoshai's intent. The Protectorate Council was furious at the threat of revolt. The Dragon Guard escorted Edoshai to Alcanti where the problems of the Imperium were addressed with Uriel Ultanos. Peace was still present, but with the anger of the Draconis, and the people's frustration with the lack of action, support for the Draconid Imperium was being eaten away with hopes of a new government. The age of constant conflicts' real meaning became apparent; this was a different world.
